Bar/Bat Mitzvah inspiration: ensuring the perfect day
A Bar or Bat Mitzvah marks the coming of age of a child in the Jewish calendar, and is a very important day. This special day is often celebrated with a big party, which can be loads of fun for both the celebrant and his or hers’ guests.
To ensure the Bar/Bat Mitzvah is enjoyed by all, it is important to get the right entertainment for all the guests to enjoy. As the main man or lady will be 13, and the majority of their friends will be of similar age, it is important to ensure entertainment is available to them and suitable to their age. However, you also have to take into account some older guests! Lots of family and family friends will be present, and could be of any age, so it is important to cater to their needs to.
We’ve detailed below some ideas for entertainment at your Bar/Bat Mitzvah, which will hopefully inspire you.

Music is always important, as it will set the scene and tone of the event. There are several routes you could go down; a DJ, a musician, or a band.
A DJ is always easy and ensures the child can pick/request certain music both before the event and during. Musicians can provide wonderful background music, and could be especially appropriate during the meal. A band can also be great, especially if you can get a band your son or daughter loves to play! Alternatively, a function band can provide you with an abundance of options, as they can cater to almost any genre.
For the younger ones (and maybe the adults too!)
There are several entertainment ideas that can enchant the younger guests, such as huggable lights, a photo booth and a dessert station.
A photo booth is always fun, and also provides great keepsakes from the event so it can be remembered for years to come. A dessert station is always a hit, and provides an interactive element for the guests to enjoy (and it’s delicious).
