A musical endeavor like no other.
Over the weekend, Orchid Events were busy once again setting up an incredible event for our clients. This weekend we were at the Bike Shed in Shoreditch for a musical showcase of the talented band CASHMERE.
The Bike Shed provided the perfect venue for this artistic young band to perform in front of their friends and we used our years of experience to add the final details ensuring this event was pitch perfect.
Being an event planner means being able to deal with all eventualities and with our years of experience, the Orchid Events Team can handle just about anything. During sound check for CASHMERE’s showcase one the base pick up broke and our all-round talented team were able to jump in and save the day, mending the broken guitar string allowing CASHMERE to perform their set in a show stopping performance.
On arrival each of our guests were given their own lanyard adorned with the CASHMERE’s imagery on, which were taken in a photo shoot before the event. These lanyards gave our guests some memorabilia of the fantastic evening and something the band will be able to keep and remember their evening. Lanyards such as these can be a great alternative to standard invitations and will really make your event stand out.
To take this incredible Shoreditch venue to the next level, we spent hours searching for the décor and furniture to really make this venue come alive. One of our favourites pieces of the décor for this event was these little glass geometric boxes filled with coloured lights which sat on each table and helped light up the rooms and create a vibrant atmosphere for the showcase to take centre stage. These lights helped add colour and light into the room but were dim enough to not distract from the strobe lighting during the bands performance.
Another favourite prop from this event was this unique photo booth inside a vintage mini, which worked really well with the edgy vibe of the venue and décor. The photo booth was a great success and went down well with our guests, providing them with photographic memories of the incredible evening listening to their talented friends performing. Photo booths are both great for providing memories of the evening which so many enjoy but they also offer unlimited excitement during events allowing guests to be silly and play with the fun props and create lifetime memories.
The Bike Shed is located underneath railway arches, which meant there were some restrictive rules regarding cooking food. However this didn’t stop the caterer providing delicious food, all of which were seasonal and sustainable. They produced creative and tasty options, which were loved by all our guests, especially the pulled pork burger. Bubbleology provided a unique drinks alternative with their creative tea drinks which were also a hit with our guests.
