A Tropical Paradise, taking you back to summer.
Here at Orchid Events we’ve been busy planning a tropical yet elegant special birthday party and got to see our creative ideas become a reality over the May bank holiday weekend.
Through our years of experience we know that the devil lies in the detail, which is why our event planners are all detail oriented. In our opinion the details, or lack of, can make or break a room, so we always make sure we include the perfect small touches such as bespoke ribbon, creative charger plates, creative photo booths and one off entertainment to bring any theme together.
For this special tropical birthday, we had incredible stilt walkers meeting and greeting our guests, creating a ‘WOW’ moment as soon as the guests had arrived. Our peacock and swan stilt walkers were dressed in beautifully designed Swarovski dresses bringing a touch of elegance to guests’ arrivals. These spectacular performers were handpicked by expert entertainment agency, Music By Arrangement.
Beautifully presented canapés and bespoke cocktails complimented the décor. To do this we enlisted the help of one of our trusted and accomplished suppliers; Last Supper. They created beautiful and delicious canapés which all our guests enjoyed. Amongst the various tropical canapés they served Lumiere Martinis, Mint Julep and a selection of mocktails such as Kumquat and lime spritzer. These small details helped bring this theme together and help to leave a lasting impression on the guests who attended
No party or event can be complete without a beautiful assortment of flowers and floral arrangements. Florists Lavender Green helped us bring our visions to life and created unique yet beautiful floral arrangements in keeping with our elegant tropical theme. Their floral arrangements took centre stage as table décor with palm trees extending above the table, commanding attention down to the intricate detail of the gold painted flowers which sat along the centre of the tables. These small floral arrangements gained just as much attention as the towering palm trees as they helped bring the theme to life while guests were dining and socialising seated at the beautifully decorated tables.
The main dining tables were long tables covered in a natural stripped table cloth decorated with a unique cheese leaf table setting, a white hem stitch napkin with a juet ribbon, gold cutlery combing a touch of elegance, green water glasses adding an extra layer of colour to the table and metallic and brass candles and lanterns which nestled between the floral arrangements adding a warm glow to the tables. The candles and lanterns came to life as the night got darker with their presence coming into note and adding to the ambience of the room.
Creating children areas which aren’t too removed from the rest of the party can be tricky when planning events. The children’s tables for this themed birthday party resembled the adult’s main tables with the stripped table cloth and palm tree leaves place settings. The centre pieces are a simplified version of the long tables and of course didn’t include cactuses to ensure they children stayed safe!
To keep the guests entertained, we enlisted the help of the knowledge music agency Music By Arrangement. With their expert knowledge and some of the best musical entertainment in their books, they helped us provide the perfect entertainment for the guests to party to and enjoy themselves.
