Arabian nights extravaganza

Guests entered the sumptuous Banqueting Hall in Whitehall transformed for the occasion into an Arabian Palace. The champagne and canape reception was held in the Undercroft which was transformed into an Arab Souk - the walls draped with fabric in a palette of jarring colors, and costumed characters met and greeted guests adding lots of hustle and bustle!  Market stalls, costumed characters, Belly dancers, Sword dancers, Snake charmers, fire eaters and an Arabian band completed the atmosphere.

A walkway of dried lavender, mint and candles led the guests to the magnificent upstairs ballroom. A Nikki Beach meets Morocco inspired set. Day beds with palm trees growing out the middle, perspex tables filled with kumquats and a sunken sand dance floor created the scene.

The live entertainment was exceptional with an 18 piece swing band featuring guest singers including The Hat Pack, kicked off the night. The dance floor was kept full and the crowd danced until the early hours to an 18 piece party band, Xtatic.

Massage Therapists, Henna artists and a sand reader pampered the guests all evening. The menu included Indian and Lebanese stations and a breathtaking fruit display.

"I wanted to give you both a belated and huge thank you for creating such a special night for my wife and family. It was nothing short of fantastic, and I have received loads of emails and thank you notes confirming what a magical evening that it was. To get my age group on the dance floor and rocking is not easy, and yet they were all out there throwing out their back with  abandonment,   well done!!  I even have some street creed with my kids for throwing a party that their friends  enjoyed as well! Thank again for a fantastic memory. "
