Wintery inspiration for a Bat Mitzvah.
A mood board is the first step in the event planning process, it where we can let our imaginations run wild and provide a first insight for our clients into what their event could look like. It’s an exciting time for all involved as it’s the start of a new project, which means we get to look at a blank piece of paper and create something magical from our client’s ideas.
For this event, a client has asked for a magical winter wonderland for their daughter’s Bat Mitzvah. A Bat Mitzvah is a special event in the Jewish calendar where you celebrate your coming of age. For this important event, we created this mood board to give us a starting point in creating a breath-taking winter wonderland for our guests to enjoy.
To get started we used the specified colours of clients gave us which were purple and light green. Then we had to incorporate these colours into a magical winter wonderland. We thought of doing this through the use of pearly white flowers draping through the room and branches and twigs painted white to make it feel as if the room had just has a fresh flurry of snow. These flowers combined with elegant yet subtle pops of purple flowers incorporates the main colours which will hopefully add a break in the white and create an elegant atmosphere.
To transport guests to the venue, a traditional red London double decker bus will be used; this will create a wow factor and unique start to the event. This unique start to the event created a twist on the traditional winter wonderland and left the guests wondering what was coming next.
For this event, we are planning on using beautiful candles throughout the venue strategically placed to create the warmth of a winter’s night when you’re sat in by the fire, but also to add a glow to the room and make the flowers come alive. One way to include flowers in this event is through hanging them on the branches of trees and flowers in glassware which will add warmth and light into the room and ensure that the décor lit from above to.
To add a personal touch to this special Bat Mitzvah, we are including a beautiful white and purple wishing tree where guests can leave comments and notes to read back over after the event and will be something that can be kept for a lifetime, ensuring they never forget their special night. A wishing tree is a great way to create something for the host to remember the event by but also adds an interactive element to the event which guests love.
This event won’t be without entertainment, our plan is to have a variety of performers and entertainers throughout the event leaving guests felling amazed by the magic that will be shown. Beautifully dressed fairy’s will meet and greet guests at the door, which is sure to put a smile on guest’s faces before they’ve even entered the building! Alongside the beautiful fairies, we are planning to have the horse guards welcome guests into the venue, truly adding another twist to the theme by incorporating London into the Winter Wonderland theme. A palm reader and caricaturists will help keep the guests entertained while inside and give guests something to remember the event with incredibly drawn portraits which are a popular entertainment choice at Bat Mitzvahs. An incredible magician who has performed all over the world is set to take the stage and entertain guests with his charm and enthralling moves which will leave guests wondering how he did it for days. Crystal manipulators are set to perform during the drinks reception and are brilliant at capturing guest’s attention and will leave them amazed. Finally this event wouldn’t be complete without its dancers. Firstly a hip hop, break dance act will raise the energy up for a night of partying. In keeping with the theme of the event, woodland fairies and ice queens will mingle between guests and circulate the dance floor ensuring that the dance floor is full at all times.
