Sarah Balfour – CEO and Founding Director
With her extraordinary creative vision and meticulous party planning abilities, Sarah has shaped Orchid Events into a leading light of the global event planning industry. She is recognised by and has been awarded accolades from, prominent figures and organisations within the industry, including, The Wedding Channel, and the Luxury Travel Guide, and has been interviewed by Wedding TV, Renegade Pictures, Sky News and This Morning.
Having begun her career as a concert pianist, Sarah’s natural creativity and performance skills have enabled her to transform from performing, to orchestrating beautifully elegant and imaginative events for her clients at many of the world’s most prestigious venues.
Her first business, Music by Arrangement, a highly successful music and entertainment agency, paved the way for the birth of Orchid Events. Both have been established on the core principles of fair practices, great service, and attention to detail. Today, both businesses thrive and are interconnected in such a unique way which gives Sarah an unrivalled advantage when it comes to sourcing high quality artists and performers.
Sarah can count on the support of world renowned venues, suppliers and professionals with whom she has well-cemented relationships. Her personable approach has forged reciprocal trust, loyalty and support allowing her to build both a top class business network and forge personal friendships within the industry.

We will take care of everything! Right from the moment we start working with you, we will manage each and every element of your event with effortless precision. We will manage your guest list, event stationery designs, arrange your save the dates, invitations and RSVP’s. We will take care of your overseas guests, negotiate discounted room rates and provide an easy hotel booking service.
We will be there to do the chasing, the checking and the refining, right up to, and throughout the event itself. We will also manage the post-event logistics taking care of every element necessary to making planning your celebration enjoyable and totally stress-free!
There is nothing more exciting for us than unleashing creativity, and we love working on projects which allow for this! One event may be classically elegant and timeless, another beautiful and glamorous and the next, quirky and funky! However, what runs through each event is our unwavering attention to detail, and flawless finish.
We are firm believers that a truly successful event is one which reflects and represents you and allows you to shine, in your moment. Through listening to you and learning all about you, we formulate designs which are as individual as you are!
Our global portfolio has been built over the past 20+ years and provides a choice of quality, stylish and luxurious venues that befit the innovative and creatively unique events that we design and orchestrate. Whether it’s recommending venues from our portfolio or researching new ones to meet requirements, to help with your decision process, you will be provided a shortlist to choose from. Personal introductions and tours of the venues and meetings with the on-site teams will be arranged so that you can rest assured, your event will be hosted in the perfect setting.

Our professional party planning team will be with you on the day of your event and working for you, from the moment the first supplier arrives until the last guest has left, behind the scenes to ensure flawless results. We will be on hand to support you, the suppliers and to make sure all of your guests receive an outstanding level of care leaving you with peace of mind to enjoy your celebration.
