Inspiration for your next garden party…

Here at Orchid Events, we will use any excuse to plan a party (who really needs an excuse but in case you do – summer’s coming!). With summer just around the corner, we are finding inspiration to help us plan our first garden party of the year. We love when the whether gets warmer and we can take our creativity outside.

This mood board shows just some of our favourite ideas for a garden party. We love garden parties as they are quintessentially British; there is nothing better than the British countryside on a lovely summer’s day surrounded by good food and good friends. Garden parties can be made as extravagant as you like but we know that not everyone has the budget to go crazy. Garden parties don’t have to be expensive, as a little creativity can go a long way.

Getting creative can lead to some fantastic results. We love the idea of using old pallets stacked to create a long table – it creates the perfect relaxed vibe every garden party seeks. We also love draping the garden fence in fairy lights; it magically transforms the area into a enchanting setting for your garden party to take place.

We also know that a garden party isn’t a garden party without your favourite cocktail to get the party started, so finding some creative ways to serve your cocktails is a great way to really ‘WOW’ your guests. Pimm’s is at the heart of every British garden party and there are certainly some ways to get creative in serving this favourite British summer drink. These could include serving the traditional fruit frozen into ice cubes to keep drinks cold or in traditional tea cups, keeping with the British theme. We love the idea of some of these creative bar ideas shown above, especially the ‘beer barrow’ which is such a simple idea but so eye catching.
