Setting up our tropical paradise.

Over the May bank holiday day weekend, here at Orchid we were busy setting up and dressing a venue for a very special tropical themed birthday party. We transformed this beautiful private stately home into an elegant tropical paradise.

To set this tropical transformation into motion all hands were on deck with a flurry of excited commotion. This is the part of the event planning stage which all event planners love, the excitement of seeing plans finally come together after long preparations in the office is the part of the job that has everyone hooked.

A group of trusted suppliers worked hard to help us create this truly magical tropical themed birthday party experience for our guests. A focal point for the main room was the magical palm trees which Orchid Events used a unique centre pieces for the tables adding an element of height to the tables which could be seen even when everyone was standing up, making it feel as if we had brought a tropical rainforest into an English country house.

For the finishing touches we added a range of beautiful atmospheric and dance coloured lighting, which really brought the room to life. These lights helped create the perfect ambience and helped us merge this beautiful venue into a tropical oasis which our clients loved.

With the venue setup and looking beautiful was the moment that our event planners could relax and finally see their creative plans come to life. Being able to show your clients the transformations is one moment that we at Orchid Events love and look forward to as do most event planners.

On arrival guests were greeted outside by two incredibly talented stilt walkers, a swan and a peacock, dressed in beautiful Swarovski dresses. After being ushered into the venue by our magical greeters, guests were taken through to a tropical photo booth, where guests could pose for photos and have something to remember this special birthday.

A canapé and cocktail reception awaited the arrival of the guests. The cocktails were tropically inspired in keeping with the tropical themed birthday. An array of beautiful made and delicious canapés circled the guests and they enjoyed the start of the celebration.

Guests also enjoyed a sit down meal with tables decorated with natural stripped linen; palm leaves table settings and green coloured water glasses while seated on natural bamboo chairs. The dramatic table centre pieces consisted of tall palm trees and intricate gold painted flowers and pineapples mixed with gold lanterns and candles, creating a beautifully designed dining experience for the guests.
