A beautiful evening of food and flowers.

Orchid Events’ founder, Sarah Balfour, had the privilege to attend a lovely dinner, hosted by Lavender Green Flowers.

Lavender Green Flowers, located enviably on the Fulham Road in Chelsea, are a bespoke florist with a London-wide reputation for elegance and ingenuity. Sue Barnes, founder of Lavender Green Flowers, begins her planning process with the clients by sketching the proposed arrangements, ensuring all clients are aware of what is going to be made and happy with the product. Additionally, Sue Barnes is continuously researching the newest trends in floristry, ensuring her clients will have something innovative and contemporary.

Lavender Green Flowers hosted a beautiful dinner for a select few guests and kindly invited Orchid Events’ Sarah Balfour. Alison Price & Co, a catering company that was established over 30 years ago, served the beautiful dinner named dineSW9. The dinner was inspired by the Chelsea Flower Show, a yearly event which displays the most beautiful and avant-garde flower arrangements in the industry.

Alison Price & Co is renowned for providing not only delicious food, but also eye-catching presentation and service, supported by their vast staff team.
The whole evening had a very natural feel, first set off by the delicate menus, presented on a rough paper as seen below. Furthermore, of course, the dinner was held in the Lavender Green florist, and the abundance of flowers was prominent.

The courses were excellent; most notably with regards to presentation; the ‘edible garden’ as shown below, utilised a terracotta pot and a mirrored palette as crockery, certainly ‘wow’ing the guests.

Another ‘wow’ dish in terms of innovative presentation, was the beehive honey mousse, presented under a glass dome and adorned with colourful edible shoots.

Further dishes included the perfectly cooked halibut, and macarons, once again taking on the vibrant colours of spring.

We would like to thank Lavender Green Flowers and Alison Price & Co for hosting and catering such a wonderful evening, full of delicious surprises.
